April 15, 2017Paraguay took first place in the Brahman breed competition, in both sexes, qualifying for the world championship to be held this month in Texas.
Overcoming countries like Brazil, Bolivia, and Argentina. Paraguay obtained first place in South America for both sexes in the International Brahman Breeding Competition.
They will once again participate in the world championship of the breed, competing with specimens from Australia and the United States.
The awards ceremony will be held this month at the Expo in Dallas, United States, and will be attended by representatives of the winning Paraguayan livestock companies.
Gray and red Brahman specimens from 50 countries participated in the competition and four international juries worked on the judging: César Payan Meyer (Colombia); Glenn Trout (Australia); Cheramie Viator (USA) and Matías Acosta Quevedo (Paraguay).
The South American Brahman Champion results were; First place (gold), Paraguay; second place (silver), Bolivia; third place (bronze), Brazil.
In turn, in “Brahman – Miss South America” the gold went to Paraguay; silver to Colombia, and bronze to Venezuela.
