July 10, 2018Outstanding Success of Rancho “Los Naranjos” at the Mexican National Brahman Cattle Exhibition
During the recent XXI National Brahman Livestock Exhibition, Mexico, Rancho Los Naranjos shined with an outstanding performance that captured multiple championships in the red and gray Brahman categories. During three days of intense competition, this Tabasco cattle ranch stood as a symbol of excellence by securing first places in various classes and taking home the coveted championships in calf, calf, and young.
The reputation of more than two decades of Rancho Los Naranjos has been built on the breeding of Beefmaster and Gray Brahman animals, recently successfully venturing into the Red Brahman breed. Its approach to production is based on methods such as direct mating, Artificial Insemination, Embryo Transfer (ET), and In Vitro Fertilization (IVF), strategies that have contributed to its continued excellence.
In a region like Tabasco, with a tropical climate, the choice of Brahman as the main race is strategic. This breed exhibits notable resistance to drought, facilitates calving thanks to the small size of the calves at birth, promotes rapid weight gain on pastures, and, above all, stands out for its calm temperament, crucial aspects for success in an environment challenging livestock like the one in the state.
