March 30, 2019Today, at the Bucaramanga Events and Exhibition Center, Cenfer, the long-awaited 19th version of the World Brahman Congress 2018 began, organized by the Colombian Association of Zebu Cattle Breeders (Asocebú). Although the activities began last Saturday with visits to livestock farms in different regions, it is today that a series of conferences featuring national and international experts officially begins, intending to boost productivity in the livestock sector.
According to Asocebú, this event, which will last until December 2, is expected to attract about 2,000 visitors, consolidating itself as one of the most important national, regional, and global meetings. This congress marks the third time Colombia has been selected as host of this relevant event.
The panel of speakers, made up of prominent figures from the global livestock industry, includes scientists, university academics, researchers, agronomists, and ethologists. Its mission is to share innovative ideas, explore future trends in livestock farming, and provide key advice to raise competitive standards in areas such as genetics, reproduction, and nutrition of the Brahman breed in Colombia.
In parallel with the Congress, a commercial exhibition will be held to promote new business opportunities among the various actors in the livestock sector, thus consolidating a space conducive to the exchange of knowledge, technologies, and perspectives within the industry.
