July 10, 2019After a decade, the National Livestock Exhibition returns to Tamaulipas with a transcendental impact. Under the presidency of Governor Francisco García Cabeza de Vaca in Tampico, the Elite Brahman Auction was the epicenter of this event. This event marked a milestone by bringing together ranchers from different Mexican states, as well as countries such as the United States, Guatemala, Colombia, and Brazil.
The exhibition, which brought together breeders and producers from 62 livestock farms from Chiapas, Guerrero, Jalisco, San Luis Potosí, Tabasco, Yucatán, Veracruz, and various municipalities of Tamaulipas, presented the genetic quality of more than 500 Gray and Red Brahman specimens. Governor Cabeza de Vaca highlighted the importance of this event to show the world the genetic excellence of Mexico, especially Tamaulipas, highlighting: “We have a very high genetic quality, we are on par with anyone in the world.”
The president reaffirmed his commitment to ranchers, highlighting his constant support for the sector. “They always have an ally here in Tamaulipas,” he stated. The Brahman Auction offered 28 lots of elite specimens and was preceded by the judging of males and females of the Gray and Red Brahman breeds, essential to improve crossbreeding among the Cebuist guild.
The presence of Senator Ismael García Cabeza de Vaca, state and municipal authorities, along with breeders and livestock leaders, underlined the relevance of this event for Mexican livestock farming and the economy of the region. The Government of Tamaulipas has sought to promote and recognize this sector, positioning the entity as a national reference in livestock herds.
