October 20, 2021With a notable presence at the 75th National Livestock Exhibition, the Brahman breed stood out with the exhibition of 40 exhibitors from various areas of Paraguay. This exhibition, held in the central arena of the Rural Association of Paraguay (ARP), highlighted the quality and potential of the breed, according to Ignacio Llano, president of the Paraguayan Association of Brahman Breeders.
Llano praised the commitment of the breeders and highlighted the evident progress in the quality of the breed, despite the challenges faced. With nearly 100,000 registered heads, the majority of the Brahman breed is used for crossbreeding, with an annual average of 8,000 new heads, as mentioned by the association representative.
Additionally, he noted that the exhibition represents a significant boost for producers, highlighting the versatility and resistance to heat and humidity of Brahman cattle, as well as their ability to adapt to various grazing conditions, including difficult terrain or periods of drought.
The event, which included the exhibition of outstanding characteristics of the breed, will culminate with the auction of the Brahman animals in the coming days, thus consolidating a key space for the promotion and development of this important livestock breed in Paraguay.
