March 15, 2022The National Breed Exhibition in Corrientes concluded with successful auctions of more than 700 Brangus, Brahman, Criollos, and Dorper breeds animals. After an awards dinner and an auction of champions, the event witnessed the final breeding stock auction. The auctions, directed by O’Farrell Consignataria for Brangus and Colombo and Magliano for Brahman and Criollos, attracted local and international breeders, with agile sales and outstanding prices.
At the auction, the Brangus showed an average of $1,260,714 for 14 bulls, with prices ranging between $700,000 and $2,800,000, while the females achieved an average of $508,333 for calves and $1,687,500 for heifers, with a maximum price of $2,900,000.
In the case of Brahman, 9 bulls were sold at an average of $950,000 and 4 pregnant heifers, with maximum prices of $2,250,000 and $1,700,000, respectively. These results reflect the interest and demand generated by the quality of the players exhibited at the exhibition.
The auction, broadcast live via streaming during the exhibition days, showed an active and participatory market both on the track and remotely. Highlighted by outstanding prices, the Brangus and Brahman breeding stock generated great interest among breeders, consolidating the National Breed Exhibition as a key event for the livestock market.
