June 8, 2022Authorities from the National Agri-Food Health and Quality Service (Senasa) met with producers and local officials in Formosa to promote the productive development of bovine herds in the central-west of the region.
During the Second Technical Conference 2022 of Integrated Formosa Cabins (CFI) in Las Lomitas, producers, representatives of the Brahma breed, students from the National University of Formosa (UNAF) and veterinarians gathered to address work strategies in pens and establish common criteria.
The meeting, held at the Cabaña “Los Yeyos” facilities, was attended by authorities such as the director of the Chaco Formosa Regional Center of Senasa, Facundo Galvani, and the mayor of Las Lomitas, Atilio Basualdo. During the day, the local productive situation was discussed and Senasa’s support for the productive development of the region was highlighted, in addition to valuing the support in the importation of Brahman cattle from Paraguay in previous years.
Eduardo Griffa, owner of the establishment, highlighted the contribution of Senasa in improving the genetics of local production by importing Brahman animals from Paraguay, thanks to the exhaustive health control that allowed the incorporation of quality specimens. In addition, the importance of the certification of establishments free of bovine brucellosis for the health of the sector was emphasized.
