Brahman Genetics Highlights International Delegations

The Expoferia Paraguay 2022, which includes the World Brahman Congress, attracted global attention with the participation of delegations from the United States, Canada, Mexico, and other countries. The Paraguayan Association of Brahman Breeders impressed with more than 350 specimens, consolidating itself as the breed with the greatest representation at the event. National breeders received praise for the excellent genetics of the breeders, contributing to international recognition of the potential and sustained growth of the Brahman breed in Paraguay.

Within the framework of the Expoferia, a new breed of cattle, Belmont Red, imported by Ganadera La Blanca from Australia, was also presented. The introduction of this genetics, composed of 150 embryos, promises to be a valuable contribution to the development of Paraguayan livestock. Belmont Red’s tropicalized Bos taurus stands out as an important alternative to improve meat quality, as explained by Dr. Silfrido Baumgarten, director of Ganadera La Blanca, during the launch at Expo 2022.
