July 22, 2022Success in the Annual Cabaña Alegría Auction
August 6, 2022The Brahman Breeders Association of Paraguay made history by recording the sale of the most expensive cow in the country during the National Livestock Expo. The female, an outstanding grand champion at the world congress of the breed, belonged to Edwin Jansen, an exhibitor from Chaco. The Palo Santo establishment, in the Western Region, paid G. 516,600,000 (more than USD 75,000) for this almost 3-year-old female, 7 months pregnant. This milestone in the commercialization of breeding stock opens opportunities for genetic improvement and the export of genetic material, taking advantage of the high quality of the acquired cow.
The Brahman Association participates in the Expo with 350 heads, standing out as the breed with the largest number of entries and also standing out for the best average prices, as well as the most expensive cow and calf in competition.
