President of Uruguay, Luis Lacalle Pou, Featured Visit to the Livestock Expo in Paraguay

The president of Uruguay, Luis Lacalle Pou, visited the Mariano Roque Alonso Expo after he participated in the Mercosur summit in Paraguay. During his tour, accompanied by representatives of the livestock and industrial sector, the president was able to admire the genetic quality of the specimens exhibited in the sheds of the breeder associations, interacting with the champions of the fair. In addition, Lacalle Pou observed various bovine breeds, such as brahman, brangus, braford, angus, nelore, as well as criollo, quarter horse, paint, sheep, and goat horses at the fairgrounds.

During the visit, Uruguayan investment in the livestock sector in Paraguay was discussed, highlighting the continuous growth of these investments, some made in association with Paraguayan businessmen. However, it was emphasized that the meeting had a more social nature, addressing specific issues in the livestock field and not delving into economic or Mercosur issues discussed in previous days.
