September 26, 2022At the recent ExpoBRA 2022, held at the San Carlos de La Banda Nursery, Santiago del Estero, the best male breeders of the Brangus, Braford and Brahman breeds stood out. The competitions included the evaluation of various aspects of the specimens, from racial characteristics to adaptability to the northern environment.
In the Brangus category, the Grand Champion was box 45 from Cabaña de La Sultana and Palo Santo, while in Braford, the title went to box 100 from Marcaojo, Estancia La Pelada. In the Brahman breed, box 28 of Jota Jota, La Laura SRL stood out as Grand Champion.
The day was marked by the presence of jury experts such as Diego Fernández Zavala and Juan Franchino, who praised the level of the breeders and highlighted the effort and passion of the breeders. Fernández Zavala, with extensive experience as a jury, highlighted the growth of the Brangus breed in Paraguay, underlining the quality of the genetics from Argentina.
In the Brahman breed, Juan Franchino expressed his surprise at the quantity and quality of the reproducers exhibited, pointing out the hard work of many years to form a biotype adapted to the pastoral fields of northern Argentina. Furthermore, he highlighted the importance of the Brahman breed as a crossbreed, fundamental for the production of Braford and Brangus.
